 Dianna's book

How do you decide what a painting is going to sell for?
I stick fairly close to my sliding scale that prices pieces per square inch.  There are however paintings that may have very little background/foreground detail which I may take into consideration in setting the value.

The same is true at the opposite end, some pieces are very detailed and time consuming to produce and I may charge slightly more for them.

The tricky part is when you veer off from your "normal" style experiment with something fresh and exciting.  These new pieces may not be representative of what people expect to see from you and can be difficult to price.
